What a beautiful weekend we had for MM46. The weather for fishing was outstanding; however for catching it was not so good. MM46 will go down with Mr. Musky winning, not a good thing with 18 folks out there pounding the water and no fish boated. This hasn’t happened since MM 9.

MM45 winner Gary Winters came close at 11:15 on Sunday with a mid 40’s fish throwing his Bulldawg right at boat side. Overall fishing was very slow with high water temps, algae blooms, and turnover on Twin creating some challenging fishing. The only fish boated was a fat 43 incher (“ Dad’s Fish”) caught on Thursday on a sucker by Gary Borkowski.

In spite of the poor fishing, we had a great Friday night cookout and a great lunch on Saturday and the opportunity to share the great camaraderie we have at all MM outings.

First, second, and third place ended up being drafted and Wayne Beyer got first place, Pierre Perreault second, and Musky Pete third. Good luck to all chasing Mr. Musky this fall and looking forward to MM46 ½ scheduled for June 4th and 5th.
