Most of my customers are small business owners that operate from one physical location. Their Google My Business (GMB) listings are straight forward: One listing, one address, one phone number, and one link to their home page. But how does it work for businesses with multiple physical locations?

I was recently asked to setup GMB listings for a small business that operates from two different physical locations. The last thing you want is to confuse Google and I had to figure out how to do it right. Here is what I found:
As you can see, creating multiple GMB listings is easy but doing it right requires a fair amount of overhead, especially if it involves managing hundreds of citations. Conventional land internet marketing is all about maximizing results and minimizing efforts. There is nothing wrong with having multiple GMB listings but it should be done only when lower hanging fruits have been picked.
